Before and After
I changed my website quite a lot, especially the home page. Before it had a random photo of fish (though I did take myself) but I felt it didn't relate to my website and the course I am doing but I still wanted my website to have my 'touch' on it, I love pastel colours and especially love bright colours so I thought to liven my website I could add a pastel background, I also made my section dividers similar colours throughout my website, so the theme is kept. I think it makes my website more friendly and the colours are eye-grabbing, I also changed my introduction from 'Welcome to my home page!' to then 'Welcome to my website', I find this more personal and it sounds friendlier.
Before I used a plain colour and the font was really small, after awhile I felt that it was too boring and that looking at it in someone else's perspective it doesn't make my website look professional. Now I've changed the page so the background picture relates to the unit I'm doing. it also matches the colour theme I had on my home page now. It now looks a lot more professional and eye-catching, the font is also a lot bigger than before, I changed the text colour too so that you were able to see it more clearly with the new background.
For my about me page, originally I had a video about me and a lot more photos of my photography but I've changed some of photos/video because I felt some of them either didn't fit or were not appropriate. Now I've decided to write a longer paragraph about myself instead of having the video, which I didn't like and feel comfortable with me being in front of the camera and my editing wasn't the best either as I hadn't even started the course yet. I did decide to keep photos of my family and I because I am all about family and felt it was important to let people know this, though I did get rid of my photos of my photography, I joined Creative Media to find something new and I feel now photography isn't a big part of who I am anymore.
