"Daydreaming"
"Daydreaming" is about a 17 year old girl, who has a very creative media and would rather live in her own world of creations than the real life, which in her opinion is bland and boring.
Characters: I decided to now call the main character Rosie, as I thought it fitted more with her personality then Sydney did. She has two friends, they know of her daydreams but tend to ignore it when she mentions it. Her tutor, is like her worst enemy, he is always constantly telling her to pay attention and wants to understand the real world and not be stuck in her fake one.
Alex (male) her best friend, who has the most lessons with her, he tends to be quite lazy and falls asleep a lot in lessons.
Jason (male) Rosie's crush, though he doesn't feel the same way. He's an A* student in another class and rarely sees Rosie. He's said to be quite confident but in reality he's very insecure, could maybe a reason he avoids Rosie as much as possible.

"She's sitting in the classroom, the teacher is talking away. Suddenly she feels grass growing under her feet, and then through the opened door, a giant fish starts to swim in, curving around the other students desk, swimming to the ceiling and then back to the floor . Rosie looks behind her, wondering if anyone sees what she is seeing but all sees is her best friend's head flat on the desk, as he snores away."
Narration: I've decided to go with a opened narrative, meaning it will be left on a cliffhanger. I'm still unsure whether I should have the same speaker throughout pretending to be multiple people or a speaker for each character.
Exposition: The introduction could start with Alex and Rosie running late for lesson, so the scene is already intense enough, they could be worried that their teacher will be mad at them. Rosie is known for her lack of attention in lessons. The audience will be introduced to everyone randomly, they will be thrown straight into the 'drama'. Their will be a narrator (speaking in third person) the narrator will be there to describe things Rosie cannot, (the narrator is a woman) she will come in use when Rosie is daydreaming.
Conflict: Rosie has a crush on an A* student from another class, though he dislikes her very much. Even though she's just a normal student, Jason avoids Rosie as much as possible. Rosie struggles with her school work as well, she's got such a creative mind that she rather sit and daydream then do work, she prefers to live in a dream then have to deal with the struggles of the real world.
Resolution: Rosie finds out that there's a test that very day, of course she hasn't studied for it because she has been distracted by her daydreams, though the pressure seems to be getting to her and she doesn't want to keep getting in trouble for not passing. Finding out that there is a test the next day, Rosie becomes very stressed and tries to fit time to study, as an listener you'll never be able to know what happens after Rosie completes the test or after she bumps into Jason just before she gets to the library.

"I couldn't understand a word she was saying, but to me, she was the most beautiful human being I had ever seen. I had read about 'love at first sight', and as a hopeless-romantic, I had hoped it would happen to me and it seems like my wishes have come true."
Exposition:The narrator is Arthur, the 18 year old who is quite artistic and is a hopeless romantic. The introduction will be Arthur describing what he is sketching in his notebook, to then carry on with Amelie walking past, she is looking at the surrounding area, she hasn't noticed Arthur but he has obviously noticed her.
Conflict: Arthur is very nervous to ask Amelie on a date, they've only known each other for a day but he's desperate to ask her on at least a date. As he builds up the courage, he has conflict with himself on whether or not he should do it, he constantly keeps thinking back to romantic books he's read, one day having a love like that. Amelie starts getting quite nervous around Arthur, he can tell she likes him but because he's so stressed on if he should ask her on a date, it's frightening her as she doesn't understand a word he is saying.
Resolution: The couple go on their date, it's romantic and beautiful but Arthur knows that it won't last, they're from very different worlds. Once the date ends, she kisses him on the cheek, she also understands it won't last and leaves. Arthur is just grateful that he got to have a romantic date like the ones he's read in the many books.

What setting do these pieces of music suggest to you?
The first track sounds like some robbers trying to get away from the police, most likely in a car because of how fast paced the music is and the rapping but you also know the police are following because of the siren sound effect.
Track two makes me think of Paris in the 1950s, like the style of fashion and transport. The music is very old fashion and when watching an older movie, sometimes it's sped up in certain moments so I thought the face music in this would match very well.
Track three reminds me of an Arabic party, it's quite energetic so I think of people dancing but also the language sounds Arabic, it just seems to fit well with the colours they have a parties.
The fourth track makes me think of a James Bond type of film. It's quite mysterious, it's not slow pace neither fast pace, it fits that kind of edge James Bond has.
Track five makes me think of a western film, with cowboys. I think of a stand off, before away starts shooting, they're standing in the sand far apart from each other, it's very intense and sounds like music just before drama happens.
Track six makes me think of an old fashion nanny (like Mary Poppins) who's singing to the children she is looking after. It sounds like quite an old song but is sang softly.
Track seven sounds like an old fashion American bar, which would be quite dark and has a few men sitting on the bar, looking quite grumpy.
Track eight makes me think of a cowgirl riding on her horse, maybe because the singer is a woman but i think it adds to the atmosphere of a girl riding on her horse in the sunset in the desert.
And track nine sounds very intense and makes me think something serious is about to happen. The music is quickly getting more and more intense, making it very scary to the listener.

I decided to use this song because i thought it was a nice and funky way to transition from one scene to another. It's quite romantic as it's a mix of classical and pop music.

I decided to use this song because I found it quite nice for when Rosie is going into her daydream, her daydreams are always sweet and soft, I feel that this song represents them so well.

At the time Hafsah was very unwell but was still able to only record a tiny part of the script. Though I would of preferred her to say a lot more, she suited the small role I had given to her.

This is a screenshot of the beginning of Scene 1 of my drama, it shows all the dialogue put together and sound effects, at the time i was deciding where I was placing the music.
I decided I wanted to change the tone of the narrator's voice, to intercom instead of background because I want to audience to know the difference between the narrator and the other characters, and to show that she isn't actually there.

This is a screenshot of Scene 3, this is where I was deciding on how long I should place the sound effects before putting the dialogue in.
